I’m Emily – a creative, a thinker, and an intuitive old soul. I am a fashion designer by day and an UX designer-in-the-making by night.
I have honed my creativity in almost every facet of my life – in my day job, my night and weekend UX classes, in my side hustle of refinishing furniture, and even comes up in remodeling my home. The design process is integrated into nearly every aspect of my life, whether it’s creating prototypes and optimizing the production of our best selling cat litter box, or researching the market and making iterative improvements to design our dream home. Even while faced with structural and financial constraints to stay within the confines of the space and our budget, I utilize creative problem-solving skills to tackle the challenges of my every day life.
My journey to UX starts from before I can even remember, I was always an incredibly sensitive kid. Understanding the emotions and feelings of others more than my own, I struggled with how to separate mine from those around me. Empathy is the core of who I am – a Pisces through and through.
UX design comes full circle for me. It combines what I’m passionate about with my innate and truest self. I can’t wait to get this chapter started!
